The Electronic Water Conditioner For Hard Water

 What Exactly is Hard Water?

Hard water is a description for water that contains high amounts of dissolved mineral content, mainly in the form of calcium and magnesium.  Water is considered soft when it falls from the sky as rain. As water travels through rock and soil, it disolves calcium and magnesium and other minerals. Unless you have a private well, your tap water is processed by a municipal water treatment plant which removes some of the mineral content and other impurities, but calcium (calcium carbonate) and magnesium will generally not be removed since they are dissolved in the water. While these minerals are not harmful to your health, they do affect the properties of water and its effectiveness for washing and cleaning. Water hardness also causes the buildup of lime scale. Unfortunately for us on the Front Range, our water is considered to be either hard or very hard (see chart).

Lime scale, or scale, is a coating or precipitate deposited on surfaces that are in contact with hard water. Water that contains carbonates or bicarbonates of calcium or magnesium is especially likely to cause scale. When water is heated or evaporation takes place, scale minerals precipitate a layer of rocklike deposits inside pipes, water heaters, equipment, fixtures and on glassware. While common scale is a result of calcium carbonate, other combinations of ions commonly found in water offer a variety of scale.

ScaleBlaster is not a water softener

ScaleBlaster is a "healthy" and "green" alternative to water softeners. Water softeners exchange calcium and magnesium ions with twice as many sodium ions. This process is an ion exchange method that requires the adding of bags of salt on a regular basis. Scaleblaster does not remove anything from the water. It does not "soften" the water physically in any way. ScaleBlaster is a compact, state-of-the art, computerized system that is installed on the incoming waterline of the house or building. This innovative product produces an oscillating electronic field using a unique and complex modulating frequency wave form that changes the physical shape, size and charge of the calcium molecules and causes them to lose their adhesive properties. Lime scale will no longer form in the pipes or on equipment that comes in contact with hard water. This results in the lowering of the saturation level of hard water, so that new lime scale is prevented and any existing scale is removed. Water will feel softer and "wetter", and less detergents will be required. Regular water softeners can be a maintenance nightmare, they discharge chlorides into our water stream, can waste tons of water, and require heavy bags of salt on a regular basis. ScaleBlaster can solve the hard water problem in your home in a similiar way with none of the negative effects produced by water softeners.

How ScaleBlaster Works

ScaleBlaster is a compact, state-of-the-art, computerized system that is installed on the incoming waterline of your home before your equipment (standard water heaters, boilers, tankless water heaters) and appliances (diswasher, washer, refrigerator)  come in contact with water. Designed with state-of-the-art microchip technology, the unit is very compact, 8'' x 5''x 3'', and will use about as much electricity as a nightlight. This innovative product produces an oscillating electronic field using a unique and complex modulating frequeny wave form that changes the physical shape, size, and charge of the calcium and magnesium molecules and causes them to lose their adhesive properties. This process impedes lime scale from forming in your the pipes or on your equipment. This results in lowering the saturation level of hard water, so that new lime scale is prevented and any existing scale is removed. Within 90 days, all pipes, filters, pumps, water heaters (both standard and tankless) and appliances will be scale-free. Scale deposits will not return. Best of all you will never need any maintenance or bags of salt to solve your hard water problems again.

 What Are The Benefits?

Almost immediately you will feel the difference on your hair and skin while taking a shower. It will feel softer and silkier and rinse off easier. You will notice more soap suds, the bathtub scum will stop forming; existing scale will begin softening or wiping off easier. Scale on showerheads and faucets will begin to soften. In a couple of months, water pressure will increase if your pipes were full of scale and the hot water heater will be more efficient. All appliances that come in contact with water will work more efficiently. There is no maintenance at all. No salt to carry around. No batteries or filters to change. No moving parts. You may want to occasionally check to see if the two LED lights are on in case of a power surge. Otherwise, we do suggest you drain and clean out the bottom of your hot water tank after a couple of months of installing the ScaleBlaster to remove all the scale that has accumulated. The unit comes with a full 120-day money-back guarantee, and has a full 10-year warranty. ScaleBlaster has a 20+year lifespan and is UL, CUL, and CE listed. Clearwater Enviro Technologies, Inc. (the maker of ScaleBlaster) has been in business 18 years, and has been selling ScaleBlaster since 1995 without a single complaint filed to the BBB. They have an audited 99.1 success rate of satisfied customers.
If you are unhappy with the condition of the water in your home or are considering the purchase of a water softening system, you may want to look into ScaleBlaster as an alternative. We have tried it ourself and have been extremely pleased with the results.
